How do I find property that would interest me? The best way to "shop" for properties is to identify areas of
interest (such as a mountain range, valley, or town) and then contact our office to request detailed maps. Due to the great expanse of our land asset, we have yet to catalogue it
pictographically.
However, our GIS system is quite extensive and capable of producing almost any kind of map to help you find the property you want. Detailed USGS 7.5' topographic maps and 1:100,000 scale satellite images of any area are available upon request. These topographic maps will show features such as roads, railways, transmission lines, and water. If you have an area or areas of interest, and would like to receive maps to view the property more closely, please contact us .

Can I visit the property? Yes, NLRC does allow interested parties to visit its properties. If you
intend to visit the property yourself, NLRC highly recommends that you bring a topographic map of the area you want to visit and a hand held GPS unit. Detailed property maps are available from our
office (please contact us). In most cases, NLRC will refer you to a local real estate agent to show you specific properties.

How can I obtain prices for properties? NLRC has over two thousand distinct parcels in its inventory, each with its own
characteristics and assets. For this reason, the value of a property or small group of properties is determined individually.
Parcels are typically priced from $65 to $1,000 per acre. A few of the factors that increase the value of a parcel include close proximity to urban areas, water, highways, and railways, as well as agricultural, recreational, and mineral potentials. If you have identified a parcel that you would like to have priced, please contact us.

How do I buy property? If you are interested in purchasing property, please identify the location of
the parcel(s) of interest by using the legal description (section, township and range) and/or the County Assessor's Parcel Number (APN). You may then contact us with an offer, and a fair price will
be negotiated. It is not necessary to purchase land from NLRC through a real estate broker; however, if you have a broker representing your interests, please give the name of the broker upon your
initial contact with our office. We offer our own financing with terms of
30% down, 10% interest amortized over 10 years.
Cash offers are always welcome. NLRC usually does not sell property less than 640 acres in size; but there are exceptions to this where parcels were acquired in smaller sizes. If you have identified a parcel that you would like to buy, please contact us to discuss terms.

Does the property have water rights? Very few parcels of NLRC's property holdings have water rights.
However, this does not mean that you cannot get water for a parcel. Nevada water law does not require a water rights permit to drill a domestic well, but all water wells drilled in Nevada must be drilled by a licensed well driller. For more information about drilling domestic wells, please visit the FAQ page of the Nevada Division of Water Resources.

Does the property have mineral rights? NLRC usually reserves the mineral rights to all property it conveys, however
mineral rights can be purchased for an additional fee in some cases.
